Fatigue

One of the most common menopause symptoms is fatigue. One contributing factor is the due to the other symptoms such as night sweats and insomnia leaving the body exhausted and not getting enough rest. Even a walk under the sun for a short period helps to synthesize vitamin D that can boost up your energy. Remember to take enough rest in a calming environment if possible so that your body can recuperate itself after battling with all those menopause symptoms. Stop smoking if you have not done so and don’t resort to coffee to have a quick energy fix as it can aggravate other symptoms.
You should maintain a healthy and balanced diet. Make sure that your body does not experience any deficiency in the essential element and vitamins. You doctor can advice you on the vitamin and supplements that are best for you.
If you have insomnia and/or hot flashes, try to concentrate your treatment to these symptoms first as it is likely the reason that your body is feeling fatigue. There are herbs that can help you to combat fatigue. Siberian ginseng has been used by the Chinese for thousand of years to revitalize the body energy and increase endurance. Centella asiatica is another herb commonly used in Indian medicine. It enhances the collagen formation and improves mental performance. Olea europea, an extract from olive leaf can also be used to protect the body from fatigue diseases.
In general, menopause fatigue is a direct result from the body response towards the changes that are happening to it. The fatigue symptom will generally disappear after you are fully menopausal. Once your energy levels stabilize, you will discover that you can return to your joyful self once again.
